January has a short reading journal.
Completed: RED-HEADED STEPCHILD by Jaye Wells
I enjoyed this book a lot and am looking forward to the April 1st release date of the second book in the series, THE BLACK MAGE. Why does a release date on April first leave me leery?
In the process of reading:
THE DROWNING CITY by Amanda Downum
This is another great read. Aside from the fact I thought the synopsis of this book looked interesting I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm absolutely loving it so far. Not quite halfway through yet.

*grin* at being leery of the 1 April release date on THE BLACK MAGE. I still have to read the first one. I've been waiting for some unknown reason.
Glad you have a great read going. I love those unexpected treasures.
Vickie ~ I didn't realized until tonight I even had a reply to the post. After thinking about it for a minute I realized I shouldn't be too surprised. After all, I forgot I even wrote the post.
As for the leery feeling of the release date. It's just that it could be one big April Fools joke. I go to the bookstore and it isn't really there. I'd be so sad.
